Deleting your account.
You can delete your account from inside the app, or ask us to do it. Most of your data goes within 30 days. A small number of things we have to keep, and this page says exactly which and why.
Delete it yourself, in the app
Open Settings → Your data → Delete my account. This is available to coaches, players and parents. You will be asked to confirm, and the request starts immediately.
Or ask us
Email privacy@4cmcoaching.co.uk from the address on your account. If you cannot access that address, write todpo@4cmcoaching.co.uk and we will verify your identity another way before acting — we will not delete an account on an unverified request, because that would itself be a way to attack someone.
We respond within 5 working days.
If your child is on 4CM
Children are added to a squad by their club, not by us. Their coach and club administrator control that squad, so the fastest route is to ask the club to remove the player. You can also contact us atprivacy@4cmcoaching.co.uk and we will work with the club — but the club is the data controller for its players, and we act on its instructions.
What is deleted
Your account and the data attached to it, including your profile, your ratings and development records, session and drill content you authored, wellness entries, bio-band measurements, journal entries, goals, video tags and highlight reels.
There is a 30-day grace window first, so an accidental or regretted deletion can be undone. After 30 days it is irreversible.
What we keep, and for how long
These are narrow, and each one is kept because the law or child safeguarding requires it — not because it is useful to us.

Once a retained record passes its window it is destroyed and replaced by a record that it was destroyed — a note of what was removed and when, carrying no personal data. That is how we can prove deletion happened without keeping the thing we deleted.
Getting a copy first
You can ask for a copy of your data before deleting it. Emailprivacy@4cmcoaching.co.uk. Deletion is not reversible after the 30-day window, so if you want an export, ask for it first.
Backups
Deleted data can persist in encrypted backups for a short period after deletion. It is not restored to the live service and ages out with the backup itself.
