Youth soccer · Washington State

One development method across every team. Now in your terms.

4CM is the platform your coaches plan from, run practices with, and track players on across the four corners. It was built in the UK. This fall it is being set up for youth soccer clubs in Washington State — in your vocabulary, your game formats and your season, with the clearance and privacy rules that apply here.

Consistency where it matters, and less of what nobody volunteered for.

One development method across every team, and the governance underneath it — clearances, a safety route, retention — reduced to an afternoon a season rather than an evening a week.

Practices planned, not improvised

The Brain — 4CM’s coaching assistant — plans a practice for the age group in front of you, in the formats US youth soccer actually plays (4v4 at U6–U8, 7v7 at U9–U10, 9v9 at U11–U12, 11v11 from U13), with coaching points, progressions, and a diagram of every activity you can step through in 2D or 3D.

Game day in one place

Lineup and substitutions, a timeline of what happened, and a game report written up afterwards for the coach to edit before anyone else reads it.

Four-corner development

Every player tracked across the four corners — technical and tactical, physical, psychological, social — with physical readings always shown against maturity, not just age.

Coaches who get better

Guidance that adapts to each coach’s experience, from a first season to a licensed director of coaching, plus a regular growth check-in and rating calibration so two coaches mean the same thing by the same score.

Clearance you can evidence

SafeSport training and a state background check, recorded by the club’s safety officer — with expiry reminders before either lapses. Until a coach’s clearance is recorded, that coach sees none of your players’ information. The gate is in the product, not in a policy you are asked to follow.

A safety route that exists

A named Club Safety Officer, a report-a-concern link on every screen, and a concern log that only the people who should see it can see.

Built for how US youth soccer works

The same product. The details that are different here.

4CM is one product with one account for every club. The region is a property of your club, set when it is created. It changes the vocabulary, the formats, the dates, the units and the clearance rules — and nothing about the record underneath.

Game formats
4v4 at U6–U8, 7v7 at U9–U10, 9v9 at U11–U12, 11v11 from U13. The planner, the drill diagrams and the Brain all work to these.
Seasonal year
Age groups follow the August 1 – July 31 seasonal year, so a U13 in 2026–27 was born between August 1, 2013 and July 31, 2014. If your league still groups by birth year, tell us — the age check is advisory and your team names are yours.
Dates and units
MM/DD/YYYY and a 12-hour clock. Height in feet and inches, weight in pounds, distances on the field in yards. Everything is stored in metric underneath, so nothing is lost if a player moves between clubs.
The words
Soccer, field, roster, practice, game, cleats, uniform — in the app and in everything the Brain writes. The four-corner model keeps its name: it is the framework the whole product is built around.
Coach clearance
SafeSport training and a state background check, recorded by the club’s safety officer, in place of the DBS and FA checks a UK club records. The rule is the same in both countries: no recorded clearance, no player information.
Player accounts
Player accounts start at 13+ and follow the coaches-first pilot. Younger players are records your club keeps — entered by your club, planned for and tracked by the coach — and 4CM collects nothing online from a child under 13. No advertising, no profiling, ever.

Health information at a Washington club is covered by its own policy, written for Washington’s My Health My Data Act. It is listed on ourlegal register with its current status, and the product collects none of that information from a US club until the policy is in force.

Questions US clubs ask

Straight answers.

Who is the data controller?
Your club decides what is collected about its players and why. 4CM processes that information on the club’s written instructions under a processing agreement we send before anything is set up, and we do not train AI models on identifiable information about your players.
Where is the data held?
In the European Union (Frankfurt), with the same encryption and access rules every 4CM club gets. Our privacy notice lists every company that processes anything, what each one receives, and where.
What about health information?
Not collected from US clubs until the Washington consumer health data policy is in force. Wellness check-ins, height and weight records and the injury marker on a game timeline are switched off in the product for US clubs — not just by policy — until that policy is in force. When it is, each one is a separate, optional choice that is off by default.
Which app do my coaches use?
The browser, at app.4cmcoaching.co.uk, on any phone or laptop. The iOS and Android apps are in beta, and we send each coach an install link.
What does it cost?
Free while we’re in beta. When we introduce pricing we will tell existing clubs well before it applies, and it will not be retroactive.
What happens to our data if we leave?
You can export it, and we delete it on your instruction. That is a term of the processing agreement, not a favor.

Talk to us before you commit anything.

We would rather have a twenty-minute conversation about whether 4CM fits your club than have you find out later that it doesn’t. Tell us your age groups, how many coaches, and what you are using now.

Free while we’re in beta — there is nothing to buy today. A coach can sign in and evaluate 4CM on their own straight away. Setting up the club itself is a request you make to us: we go through the agreement with you first, and your coaches only see player information once your safety officer has recorded their clearance. Or emailsupport@4cmcoaching.co.uk.
